Just heard he was cut on twitter, vis a vis Nagler and Silverstein.

Confirmed by Wilde:

And PFT:

Jones was set to make up to $3.75 million in salary and bonuses in 2015, so that’s money the Packers can now devote to other uses that may include contract offers for impending free agents Randall Cobb and/or Brian Bulaga.

I'm glad he's gone. But I probably have to say it was a good 7th round pick.

Dare I predict he's on a plane to Minnesota?

His one of the players that I never liked. Always taking bad penalties at the most crucial time of the game.

Expected cut, like Bostick. I agree he was terrible and not worth the price, but to look at the reality he was a late round pick and we were lucky to have a late rounder like him active in a uniform. Chances are he might line up with someone else. Ted gets bashed a lot, but he has drafted a lot of players or found them through UDFA who managed to find themselves in the league.

Jones you broke my heart every time you took a stupid penalty that continued a drive that should have ended, but you did the most to keep yourself in the league. Hopefully if you ever play us in the future please keep up with those 3rd down defensive mental breakdowns.

Fuck you, Brad Jones.

Dude has the skills to play, but he just can't be trusted. Good riddance.

With Bostick and Jones cut, the only expected cut question left is Hawk...

Though I sort of expected them to keep one of the ILBers and cut the other, but it's possible both got cut for cap reasons as I think cutting Hawk could save $3.5 million in cap space as well. Though Hawk has taken a cut in pay once before, now might be a nice time to go ask him to take another one and let him try to earn a spot on the team at a reduced price.

Martha Careful (10h) : any interest in Marshon Lattimore?
Zero2Cool (12h) : What does NFL do if they're over cap?
Mucky Tundra (12h) : They've been able to constantly push it out through extensions, void years etc but they're in the hole by 72 million next year I believe
hardrocker950 (13h) : Seems the Saints are always in cap hell
Mucky Tundra (14h) : Saints HC job is not an envious one; gonna be in cap hell for 3 years

Zero2Cool (17h) : Shefter says Browns and Lions will figure out how to get a deal done for Za'Darius Smith..

Zero2Cool (3-Nov) : It's raining hard.
Zero2Cool (3-Nov) : Packers inactives vs. Lions: CB Jaire Alexander S Evan Williams C Josh Myers Non-injury inactives: WR Malik Heath OL Travis Glover DE Bren
packerfanoutwest (3-Nov) : Malik Willis: My focus is helping the Packers win, not proving I can start elsewhere. But he could
Zero2Cool (1-Nov) : I had Texans, but the loss of another WR flipped me
wpr (1-Nov) : I thought about taking the Jets but they've been a disaster. Losing to the Pats last week
