Whoa easy there Mr. Balboa!! Chris Borland was a mid round pick and made a true impact for the 49ers. The thing is the Packers do not need the next Jack Lambert to solidify the position. They need someone who is a grade or two better than A.J. Hawk in the sense they are assignment sure while also making the splash play too.

I think Lattimore and Barrington will handle the inside linebacker position just fine next season. When we want to go heavy against the run, Matthews can move around. We need to draft another corner prospect cause Casey Hampton and Davon House aren't the answer. I would like to see another WR in the mold of Javon Walker, but with a functioning brain, and a freak athlete for a TE like Jimmy Graham.

In my opinion, we should have beaten the Patriots by two touchdowns if only we hadn't dropped passes; and as far as I'm concerned we kicked Seattle's ass up and down that field in the NFC championship game. Draft day should be about hitting home runs with draft prospects with extreme athleticism. It is in this area that the freak athlete puts you over the top, and an area I completely agree with Uffda. Green Bay's formula over the last twenty years has been to have an elite quarterback with good players around him. How about we put some elite players around our elite quarterback for a change?

A lot of the draft day strategy will be altered by whether or not Cobb, Bulaga, Tramon Williams, and Julius Peppers will be playing for the Packers next season.

Oh yeah, and we need a new fucking punter. I don't know what happened to Masthay, but his season was abysmal, and it wasn't because his leg was tired.

I will be surprized if he is resigned.

#2 The Packers need a new punter like they needed a new kicker after the 2012 season
Would not be surprised to ser Masthay win the battle in TC and have his best year in 2015.

Thankfully Ted and Mike don't have the same panic knee jerk reactions that some do here.

I do agree this coild be the year that Ted could target certain players in the draft that he feels can give immediate results.

Trader Ted may be back in 2015.

The Packers going into the 2015 season are pretty solid top to bottom then most will give them credit.

Trader Ted I doubt; Signer Ted maybe - for sure most of our own, and maybe opening up a little bit to go after a couple other decent players.

Ted can and SHOULD (IMO) push the cap limit and use bonuses and backloaded contracts to our advantage - MORE than he has done in the past. With that and the natural increase in the cap, we should easily be able to sign Cobb and Bulaga for sure, and probably Tramon short term along with House, Guion, and several others. I would like to see us restructure or downgrade Peppers. His contract, as I recall, calls for a huge cap hit this season if he is retained. He played fairly decent, but probably not good enough for that kind of cap hit.

I say again, I STILL WANT MELVIN GORDON in the draft, even though that probably won't happen. Given the general unlikeliness of taking a ILB in the first or second, I expect the highest pick (after Gordon hahahaha) to be a Corner, followed by a ILB in the late second or more likely third; Then maybe an O Lineman or two. We don't need a D Lineman or WR or TE or Safety or OLB.

I would like to see us get a stud ILB. In all games from checkers and chess to baseball and football, being strong up the middle is important. Many times I feel teams make a mistake by undervaluing ILBs, Cs and Gs. Linsley really helped our offense this year, as an example, Dallas with Fredricks, Carolina with Kueckly are others.

As for MGIII I would love to see him a Packer but l just don't see that happening or being worthwhile unless they can pick up a first round or outstanding player at a position of need for Lacy. I do believe he will be special not only as a runner but as a receiver. Many don't realize one of the reasons he came to Wisconsin is that Iowa and some of the other major schools recruiting him wanted him as a wide receiver.
