I don’t think there is a bigger critic of Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers than me. I’ve been on record as saying that I thought Capers should have been fired two seasons ago, as well as claiming he is the problem with this current team's record. But one thing I will not

The only reason I have ever had for replacing Dom is wanting to go back to the 4-3 which I believed and still believe our personnel fit better. Dom doesn't make players miss tackles, and blow assignments, and fail to get pressure on opposing team QBs.

I will also note that The Pats had a 5.8 yard rushing average in this game. This new philosophy of "only defend the pass" might just have some merit. After all, that's a pretty good per carry average, but we still won.

Perhaps, Dom has been playing who was better. He has not played Hawk because of him not being as good in pass defense before. Perhaps, Barrington has just come along during the season to a point that he is not as much of a liability on the field as he was before when he couldn't beat out Jones.
