GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Maybe the Green Bay Packers won't have to ride running back Eddie Lacy after all on Sunday at New Orleans. His backfield running mate, James Starks, returned to practice on Thursday after sustaining an ankle injury in last Sunday's win over the Carolina Panthers. Starks was unable to practice on Wednesday. The Packers have been splitting carries between Lacy and Starks the past three games. That's a change from early in the season, when Starks did not carry the ball in two of the first four games.

Glad to hear they're back at least practicing. Might need them at least in a back-up role for the game... might be nice also to have the DBs at full strength if they can recover.

Great news, but irrelevant really. Not sure the running game will really matter much at all? Lacy - Starks, nice to have Sunday, Great to have in NOV/DEC. This will be a shoot out of biblical proportions.

Take the Packers PLUS 1.5 points. (Unreal they are underdogs.)

Take the OVER 56 total points in the game. (This is a lock.)

You will not lose, and you will have extra monies for beer in week 9.

But I'm thinking back to the Lions/Bears game when some thought shoot out was coming.... and maybe yardage wise in the Bears game it did... but point wise it didn't...

Saints are 2nd in offensive yardage (much better than the Packers)... but they're only 10th in points scored per game which includes putting more than 70 points up combined against the Falcons/Bucs horrible defenses.

Hoping the Packers don't have a horrible defense... in the other games the Saints have averaged only 21 points which would be them in 25th place. Only real x factors I see are healthy... as the Packers DB healthy and going to stay healthy? Is the Saints TE Jimmy Graham healthy?

Like I said I might be very wrong, but I'm thinking the Packers defense plays decent and it's not a huge shootout.
