I like the way Chillar is being used. He's replaced Poppinga against the Cowboys and Colts, two teams with really good tight ends. Well done, Ted and Mike!

INTENSITY!

Especially on the DEFENSE! I was talking about this earlier in a previous thread...

I have new respect for Rouse, gained respect for Chillar, and am now a huge fan of Nick Collins! Defense played like Champions today.

Prayer helps too

Here's a recap of our secondary today:

Charles Woodson--stuck to his man like glue
Tramon Williams--ditto
Nick Collins--roaming around, ball hawking
Aaron Rouse--ditto, plus very active in run support
Will Blackmon--no big mistakes, made a few plays
Charlie Peprah--came in during garbage time and put a big hit on a guy to break up a pass

What a performance by these guys against the likes of Manning, Wayne, Harrison, Gonzalez, and Clark. And we've got two weeks to savor it.

What a great week again. Cowboys lost big to the Rams, My sons team went 7-1 so far on the season and my son got another sack and GB played outstanding football against a good Colts team. To top it off the Jets lost against Oakland.

The last sentence can be negated if the rumor about Bretts loose lips turns out not to be true. :)

Brandon Chillar...he played his ass off all day and really sparked the defense in my opinion. He played like a man with a chip on his shoulder all day. He shut down the colts tight ends and wide recievers with one of the best days i have seen out of a Packer linebacker in years.

and that is why the man was brought here correct?

I was wndering if he is in there because of an injury. Glad it is because he is playing great D.

Im surprised no one has mentioned where the pack went for it on 4th and 1 and got the first down plus more. It lead to a BIG grant touchdown. Not too mention it showed MM's confidence in the team.

So true. And we converted that fourth down on a Grant handoff where previously we've relied on the sneak. I like using the sneak but the fact that we showed we can get that 3rd/4th short with a handoff as well is a plus because that's a simple thing that has been missing as of late.

AND, he was on Harrison a number of times. That impressed the hell out of me, personally.

Yes. Aggression. I love it. I'm happy to see the old MM back, instead of the guy who was pretending to be him earlier in the year.

I think a few more keys need to be mentioned - the O ate the clock, and sucked the life right out of the Colts. They looked heartless out there, and desperate. It was beautiful. That's what a solid O can do - suck the life right out of a team.

Notice that in the 2nd half, the Colts were looking desperate, and Manning started whining like crazy. He could have thrown 4 INTs. He got lucky on one where the Safety knocked a ball down that should have been a Woody INT, and there was one more that was almost a Woody INT. I know 34-14 is a big deal, but imagine if we had 2 more INTs on top of that.
