I am very pleased with my fantasy draft picks this season. P.Manning, E.Lacy, O.Beckham, and the Seahawks D/ST highlight my team this season. The bye weeks will be a challenge, but I've done this before and believe that I will do fine. I'm looking forward to a fun and successful fantasy season.

How do your teams look this season ? Did you have a good draft ? How deep is your bench ?

When someone agrees to join a group or a league , IMO, they take on the responsibility to give their best each and every week of their committed time . It is the poor sportsman that abandons their duty to the rest of the league when they find they are not doing well .

I respect the last place member that has no chance to win the championship, but still marches on with his head held high, over any champion . The Champion wins the league trophy and bragging rights, but the sportsman wins RESPECT .

As a Fantasy League Manager, it is my responsibility to ALL my league's members to try to ensure a competitive league for the ENTIRE SEASON . This is my 4th season as a League Manager and it is not so easy a job.
I must 1st recruit enough players to fulfill the minimum number of teams/owners to satisfy per our internet sponsor. Then I must schedule a date/time when the most members can attend a live online league draft. Following that, the regular season's competition gets underway and I can relax and enjoy competing like any other league member.
I do monitor each team ,every week, but usually don't need to exercise any of my powers as league manager in the first half of the season.

About midway through every season (so far) I at least one member that is failing their promise to the league. They don't try to acquire players, and stop or appear to have stopped caring about their team. If they set a lineup it is at the last minute and not a best effort. Such behavior is unfair to the rest of the league that are still playing and places the poor sport in jeopardy of being replaced.

It is never easy to Drop a team owner from a fantasy league . I usually go out of my way to contact the person and give them a chance to explain their behavior and offer them a second chance to improve. Failing this, a league manager can Drop/Replace the person, or Drop the person and run their old team using the powers of the league manager, or run the team until a replacement can be found to take over that team.

No league manager wants to have to drag any of their leagues team owners to the seasons finish line, we'd prefer it if all league members (even the last place member) cheerfully participated to the finish.

Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
