"Two snaps per game, 13 percent of the snaps on the year," said Jones, not exaggerating that much. "That's what you get, 31/2 sacks in a season. Playing more, who knows what could happen?"
Ok, so that's a pretty good percentage. Let's say he plays twice that amount, he should get 7 sacks next year, right?
"There's a lot of expectations," said Jones, who actually played about one-fourth of the total defensive snaps.
So let's say he played 1/4 of the snaps. He can easily get up to half the snaps, if Capers will allow him on the field. After all he's no longer a rookie, right? Capers likes his vets. I'd say 7 sacks is a pretty decent year for a DL.
Now, add in that he's working on his technique, developing more moves. Should easily get to 10 sacks, especially if he plays maybe 60% of snaps? Time to prove it, Datone.
Btw, I tried to post his using the DISCUSS button on the HEADLINES page, didn't work. ;)
I guess he broke out his second year in college.
