Ted is the same guy who thought Jerron McMillian and or MD Jennings were the answer at Safety. Ted thought Brandon Jackson and Alex Green were the solution to our rushing woes. Ted thought Graham Harrell and BJ Coleman were competent NFL backups, as well as Seneca Wallace.

Ted thought Jeremy Thompson was worth moving up for... the list could go on and on.

Nick Collins was a pretty good pick but that doesn't mean Khyri Thornton will or won't be. Nick Collins selection has nothing to do with how well Khyri will turn out just as Jerron McMillian's selection won't either.

Nothing I'd love more than to be ganged up on and told how stupid I was for thinking this guy was going to bust.

You blasted most if not all the draft picks shortly after they were submitted. What do you think Packers fans are going to do? Jump on the negative Nancy bandwagon or throw down hope for a player to make a positive impact on their favorite team?

You could be right in three years and all these players were misses and mistakes to be drafted. Bookmark this thread and in three years we will revisit it.

The fact is there have not been many sure bet Safeties since the Collins injury.

Collins does not mean Thorton will amount to anything I totally agree, but the Collins pick has shown that Ted has selected players higher than they were anticipated to go and proved the pundits wrong. Given our teams history of injury a guy that can play multiple positions on the DL sounds like a sound decision even if he is just a versatile back-up that opens up other roster spots.

I just don't see the point and predicting how bad these guys will be without giving them a chance. Maybe drafting this kid early will give him some confidence after playing for such a horrible team during his college career.
