GREEN BAY, Wis. -- About the only thing noteworthy about the Green Bay Packers' preseason schedule, which was released last month along with the entire regular-season schedule, was a rare afternoon exhibition game at the St. Louis Rams on Aug. 16.
The Packers had not played an afternoon preseason game since the 2006 finale against the Tennessee Titans.
Like the game against the Rams this summer, that game kicked off at 3 p.m. local time.
Just how rare are afternoon preseason games around the NFL?
