This will come across as pouting and before we get into Green Bay Packers cornerback Sam Shields in free agency, I have to say that I really wish I were still writing about a Packers team who was preparing for their next playoff game.  Such is life. You can always structure a contract to be team friendly and at the same time, excellent for the player. I'm sure Thompson and his people are capable of doing that. The only way it would not get done is if Shields simply wants out of Green Bay, and there has been no evidence of that.

You can always structure a contract to be team friendly and at the same time, excellent for the player. I'm sure Thompson and his people are capable of doing that. The only way it would not get done is if Shields simply wants out of Green Bay, and there has been no evidence of that.
