I don't see the point in getting mad at cautious people for making cautious decisions. Tony Romo had a similar injury in 2010 and missed the rest of the season. I would like to know why Aaron Rodgers thinks he can play. I’d also prefer to know why Mike McCarthy seemingly lobbied for him to play this week. The decision itself doesn’t surprise me, but I find those tidbits interesting.

Matt Flynn is starting, though, and I’m sure we all hope he’ll lead the team to victory. Maybe I'm misreading things, but if the Packers miss the playoffs, I get the feeling some are waiting to pounce on the front office for their cautious approach. No one game determines the regular-season.

The Packers could’ve signed Flynn after Oakland cut him. They didn’t and Flynn spent a week or two with Buffalo. Mike McCarthy made a poor decision in going to Scott Tolzein. What would’ve happened had Flynn started the full game against Minnesota? Finally, the Packers could have also defeated Cincinnati earlier in the year with Aaron Rodgers. There are many moving parts to a season.

Betting odds have been OFF all week.

Soon as the announcement is made Vegas makes the Packers 2.5 point favorites.

And for the FOOL who brought up the "6-8 years" thing, Rodgers could get sacked and break the thing in half - HIGHLY UNLIKELY - and it wouldn't jeopardize next season and beyond one iota.

It is funny how much better we handled this than the Redskins. God what a mess that is in DC.

Word is, two weeks ago the bone was less than 75% healed. It is an injury you can't cast to protect. If not completely healed, it would take very little pressure to re-break.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

This seems stupid. It is a broken collar bone. He plays after being medically cleared, the way it should be.

Redskins brought RG3 back too soon... and reinjured himself, he healed in the offseason... and still doesn't look the same, and no one knows if he'll ever be the same again.

If Rodgers isn't 100% then he's not 100%.

Also this could lock up the rookie of the year for Lacy. Getting his team into the playoffs.

The same people moaning now would be screaming

He's hurt, isn't allowed to play.
Can't do anything about it.
Hopefully Flynn can come through again!

beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
