Ok, how exactly is not playing with a torn abductor tendon being a bitch?

YES no matter what
Shields (and try to get Williams to cut his 7 million pay a bit done)

Most likely yes
EDS
Jolly (short term for age reasons)
Jamari Lattimore (RFA)
MD Jennings (RFA)

Depends on price
Pickett (short term)
James Jones
Quarless
Neal
Starks (would be higher if he was healthy more often)

OK if signed but FINE if we move on
Kuhn
Francois
Wilson
Flynn

Want to see the Packers move on from
Raji (I just don't see the passion to be a role player, and hasn't been able to be a playmaker).
Newhouse
wallace

Other
Finley ~ so much potential, but so much up and down play as well. Don't want to lose that talent, but might be time to more on unless he's fully healthy and can get him to sign to a reasonible deal.

This is what raji should have been

Still Raji should be better than what he is, but really they got a guy with a great passion for one thing (and was great at that one thing) and asked him to do something else (which he dind't have a passion for).

These fellas should be re-signed to strengthen the core of the team and for depth.

  1. Johnny Jolly
  2. Jermichael Finley - if and only IF he's medically cleared.
  3. Evan Dietrich-Smith
  4. James Jones
  5. Sam Shields
  6. Mike Neal

These fellas will probably re-sign with a cap friendly number close to their value.
  1. CJ Wilson
  2. Andrew Quarless
  3. Jamari Lattimore

Will overprice themselves out of a locker with the Packers.
  1. BJ Raji
  2. John Kuhn
  3. Ryan Pickett

I don't see these boys being back in 2014
  1. Marshall Newhouse
  2. Rob Francois
  3. MD Jennings
  4. Seneca Wallace
  5. Matt Flynn

I think Raji's nickel snaps have steadily declined over the past three seasons. I believe the article I linked showed that statistic.

the article said pass rush snaps and I think it's going by PFF in that case (they count .5 sack as 1)

2010 507 pass rushes 7 sack, 4 QB Hit, 24 QB Hurry
2011 548 pass rushes 3 sack, 1 QB Hit, 16 QB Hurry
2012 366 pass rushes 0 sack, 1 QB Hit, 22 QB Hurry
2013 235 pass rushes 0 sack, 3 QB Hit, 08 QB Hurry

The defense had significantly less plays in 2012 than 2011 so there weren't as many opportunities overall but his production was still similar. This year though he has completely fallen off the map and been entirely ineffective lending to the idea that he just isn't trying as hard. Though none of these numbers are that impressive for a guy who is complete crap against the run. This is supposed to be his thing and at his very best he's average at it.

For reference here is Mike Neal last year (A guy who has never even sniffed a pro bowl vote and is always banged up)

2012 205 pass rushes, 5 sack, 3 QB Hit, 12 QB Hurry

And Daniels this year
2013 278 pass rushes 6 sack, 5 QB Hit, 19 QB Hurry

He's already about equal to Raji's highest production season ever but with just over half the pass rushes. This guy is an undersized 4th round pick. Not an extremely athletically gifted 9th overall 320+ lber

Raji isn't even that impressive at the thing he does best and everything else he does terribly which is why I was super confused with the report that he was offered 8m/year or whatever. I cannot believe that offer is still on the table after the effort he's shown this year though. I sincerely hope this guy walks though more than that I don't think he's earned the snaps he's gotten this year and should be sat on the bench.

Heck lets throw in Datone this year (coaches wont even give him more than 20ish snaps a game because of how he's struggling)

197 pass rushes, 4 sacks, 3 QB hits, 10 QB Hurry
