I don't think they would sign a vet RB if they were writing off the season by IRing Rodgers.

Unless it has already happened - I am guessing they shut down Randall Cobb for the year with this move? Not sure I have heard much about his progression.

Yes they could. They only have 2 real running backs and Kuhn. The way injuries fly around you can't depend on only 2 guys remaining healthy for 4 games. Should one of them go down it is going to take a few weeks for the new guy to learn his plays.

Unless they plan on cutting back on Lacy's workload as well to save him a little wear and tear. If they are giving up on the season it makes some sense.

Of course that wouldn't be like MM. It seems that if he were giving up on the season he'd needlessly run Lacy into the ground.

The run the best back you have until he needs a break. I trust the staff. If you got a great back you run him.

Unless it has already happened - I am guessing they shut down Randall Cobb for the year with this move? Not sure I have heard much about his progression.

But, as some people have suggested, if you are truly giving up what is the point of risking your top guys. Isn't that the reason they would shut down Rodgers to begin with. Why risk him in meaningless games that you should throw anyway to get a higher draft pick. If that's the case why not shut down all your top guys. Bench Matthews and Sitton and Lacy and...well, that's it according to some people, everyone else can play and get hurt.

I don't agree with this mind you but hey, some fans have their own ways of rooting for their team.
