Green Bay — Don Barclay is hurting and Marshall Newhouse is failing, but the Green Bay Packers appear to have no immediate plans for Derek Sherrod to become their starting right tackle.

I'm ready to see what he's got. Sherrod must still really be bad off he at 70-80% is not better than Newhouse at 100%.

"(Newhouse) said Campen. "He needs to be consistent and be confident in what he's doing out there.

"We forget. He started 30-plus games."

big deal. He has also stunk in most of those 30 plus games.

I assume if Newhouse goes down though, they repped Sherrod to be ready to step in at that spot. I would not expect him to be considered until after Thanksgiving anyway if at all this season. We shall see.

This is the same stupid reasoning that kept Walden starting for 2 years, kept Jarius Wynn here, Jarrett Bush, Tony Moll, Alan Barbre, Graham Harrell, and more.

All of them were absolute garbage, but stuck around because they were familiar.

I honestly think our staff has a serious issue with internal evaluation.

I hope Sherrod gets in there and that he plays well. That would be very welcome at this point, given how lackluster Newhouse's play has been. Sherrod has all kinds of talent, just needs to get himself back into football shape, and I hope he is not far away there. This game will help him. Maybe Newhouse can pick his play up too, and we'll see some decent stuff from that right side of the line today.
