Obviously we don't have a Jerry Jones or Daniel Snyder - instead owners all over Wisconsin and the world, represented by the Board of Directors. Below them, however, is what I'm asking about.

Is Mark Murphy next - a real figure of power - Ted Thompson's boss? Or is he just an administrator - nobody effectively between Ted and the Board?

Is Ted Thompson independently responsible for hiring/firing assistant coaches/coordinators? Is Mike McCarthy independently responsible? Yeah, I'm fairly sure they communicate about it, but I'm wondering who has the final say.

I'm pretty sure Ted Thompson is ultimately responsible and he has ultimate say in personnel but I think he gives Mike McCarthy free reign to hire/fire his staff. That is the only way to do it IMO. If you have more than 1 person making those decisions it makes a mess between what one person wants to do vs another.

Mark was on Chicago radio before the Bears game. He said his duties are non football issues and Ted has the football related issues. That said if for some reason he wanted Ted fired I am sure he could get it done.
