Something I agree with. Tramon Williams hasn't rediscovered his 10' form, and is a run of the mill starter right now, one that gets significant playing time when the rest of the depth chart deserves a step up into the rotation.

And, as you said, he is costing a fair amount.

I think this idea is a little bit of a knee-jerk reaction. Tramon is still a great player and he's a team leader in our secondary. I'd rather have him than Nixon when push comes to shove. We have his services through the remainder of the season, and that is fine with me. Next season may be a point where we move on, but there is still a lot of football left to be played.

This is pure stupidity. Cutting him would be idiotic. When I read the title, I thought somebody confused Williams and Wallace - who really should be cut.

Yeah, he will need to take a pay cut next year, but he is a significant contributor, just a shade below his peak when he really was a true shutdown corner.

I'm going to agree that Williams is no longer the same and he's been doing some really stupid things lately.
But after seeing the Bears' game I need to ask: Can Hayward really tackle?

The team would be better with Shield and House on the outside and Heyward in the slot. Williams has been regressing for quite sometime now. Given his salary, I'd be surprised if he is a Packer in September 2014.
