The spread went from -9.5 to -8 with Ponder getting the start.

Actually, ESPN said Cassell was getting first team snaps. I don't think we have much too worry about with any of the three. On the other hand, any of them could have a rare good day - like Ponder did against the Packers and Cassell did in London.

I'll still go with 41-10 Packers.

Freeman actually gave himself the concussion.
He was seen repeatedly hitting his helmet against his head, HOPING to get out of playing the Packers.
Freeman said : "If the Giants did THAT to us, can you imagine what the PACKERS will do to us???? I'm not STUPID! Let Ponder or ANYONE else take THAT beating!!!"[grin1]

So when are you guys going to draft your next HoF QB? Because I think the Vikings are already waiting to scoop up Rodgers and I don't think we can wait another 10 years. That's too long to go without contending. I don't know if you've noticed, but we've had a bit of a problem at the QB position for a long time now. I mean it's just not fair having to put up with the never ending Ponder era so soon after the failed TJack era. There should be some kind of rule to prevent that kind of torture.

I don't think they believe they can win. They might be prone to just take some cheap shots at our players.

But with the Vikings joy of getting up field, a screen play might work if they can fool the DL.

Turf might play to Franklin's strength, as far as speed. And quickness.

He might get a chance to show he can hang onto the ball.

Reignman, I haven't met/talked to you yet, but I like you already!
You love your team, but are obviously frustrated out of your mind at their horrible play.

Yet you still stick with them. That, is a TRUE fan, and my cheesehead is off to you!

As far as the Vikings QB challenges, if you look around the NFL, the Packers are the exception. Most NFL teams are suffering through the same kinds of troubles that your team is having. We (Packer fans) have been extremely fortunate to have had back to back GREAT QB's. That doesn't happen very often. In fact, the only one off the top of my head was Joe Montana followed by Steve Young.
The 1970's and 80's, the Packers had the same problems. Trying to find a franchise QB.

As far as when you may have Rodgers......we still have a decade left with him being good. So you will have to wait for our next "retread".[grin1]

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
