In this week’s “Get to Know,” rookie left tackle David Bakhtiari talks about playing soccer as a kid, his older brother’s influence, his desire to act and one Hollywood actress he has a crush on.

Lacrosse? WTF!
If he had wrestled in high school he would be an NFL superstar.
LaCrosse is just a city in Wisconsin.

All kidding aside, I'm glad we got him. He is a tough SOB.

He has a future in football if he keeps this up. It always gets me excited to see rookies start strong like he has.

I read over on Packerchatters that Sherrod is ready to come back, but can't until after week 6. Would the Packers dare put Sherrod in at right tackle and let Barclay back up both positions. Ideally you'd want Sherrod at LT with his size, but I don't see that happening with Bacteria playing the way he has.

It is going to be a very interesting training camp next season on the offensive line. I think they will let Newhouse walk, try to sign EDS to a reasonable contract and give Tretter every chance to win the center position. But tackle is going to be where the competition is.

So far this season, I am very happy with Bacteria and Barclay. Our running is improving because these two guys finish off their blocks with attitude. That is something you did see from Clifton or Newhouse.

I could POTENTIALLY see him challenging for a starting spot as the end of the season approaches if he is truly healthy, but if the offensive line keeps playing fairly well, I don't see the coaching staff changing anything unless there is an injury. The only way I could realistically see Sherrod getting and holding onto a starting spot this season is if an injury occurs, he fills in, and plays really well. In that case, they may stick with Sherrod and let the injured player be the swing back up. Of course, that's assuming Sherrod would even be the first offensive tackle off the bench. It may not be easy for him to beat out Newhouse, at least this season.

Next training camp will be interesting. Bulaga should be back and healthy, and hopefully most all hands are on deck. I can't imagine any situation in which the offensive line isn't even more improved next season, especially if Tretter or a rookie draft pick can become a beast center. The Packers may have a really good offensive line for the first time in almost 10 years. That is, of course, if a few players don't suffer horrendous career threatening injuries. If Sherrod shows he is fully healthy, I can't imagine Newhouse coming back next season. Some time will probably be willing to overpay for him since he has shown he can halfway play left-tackle. I would like to see him stay, though, as he makes a nice backup at both tackle spots. But then again, hopefully so will Sherrod, Barclay, or a rookie.

dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care

beast (27-Apr) : Yeah, but also some of the wording suggestions Jax only pranked called the QB, not the others... and if he had an open spreadsheet & 3 calls
beast (27-Apr) : Thank goodness he's not leaving the Turtle in the Red Tide
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Cowboys 1st round pick Tyler Booker will indeed be bringing his pet turtle to Dallas with him
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : that contained all prospects info and contact
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : beast, according the Falcons statement Jax came across it on an ipad. If I had to guess, probably an open spread sheet or something
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : Simmons put up an emoji with cheese.
beast (27-Apr) : Not sure anyone is interested in Isaiah Simmons... Collin Oliver might of taken his potential slot
