No news on Brad Jones, but Lattimore next in line at ILB

Green Bay --- In other linebacker news, there's no news.
The Packers didn't have an update on Brad Jones, who left Sunday's game with a hamstring injury. The fact that Green Bay signed a cornerback (James Nixon) to the 53-man roster instead of an inside linebacker in light of Robert Francois heading to injured reserve may be a sign that the injury isn't serious.

Defensive coordinator Dom Capers said Monday that the team has been monitoring Jones' hamstring since he originally suffered the injury in the preseason. As Capers explained, Jones reaggravated the injury trying to contain running back Reggie Bush.

"There’s been some times he’s been limited and we’ve limited his practice reps," Capers said, "but the game when you’re spread out and you’re having to chase Reggie Bush around, really that’s where it was. He was breaking inside-out on Bush and that’s when you saw him pull up on the thing. Hopefully, he can get treatment and we can have him ready to go sooner than later.”

If Jones is forced to miss time, third-year pro Jamari Lattimore would be next in line to play next to A.J. Hawk in base.

Oh boy. This is not good.
Will the injuries not end. We have had enough for a couple of seasons.

I gotta wonder how good would the Packers be if they were at full strength.
