During the entire 2007-08 season, BF was sacked a total of 15 times.

Through four games this season, Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 11 times.

He's on pace to be sacked 44 times.

Do you think it is primarily the poor play of our pathetic offensive line or a matter of Aaron Rodgers holding on to the ball to long?

It's probably a little of both, but I feel like a lot of the time, Aaron Rodgers holds on to the ball to long. Mike McCarthy needs to drill it in his head that its okay to throw the ball away if no ones open. Aaron Rodgers is a great (yeah I said it) QB, but this seems to be his only major flaw.

All I know is that if Aaron Rodgers keeps getting hit like this, the chances him starting 16 games for us are going to be very slim.

I think it's a little of both, but the bad play of o-line more-so than Rodgers holding on too long.

Interesting to note that McCarthy said last year usually getting down pass-blocking takes longer than getting down run-blocking... that's the only thing giving me hope that something improves.

One of the major differences is that Brett had a uncanny knack to make the first rusher miss and set up into the pocket. Also Brett was the king of throwing off balance. This comes with experence and Arron will grow to be a fine nfl QB.

Today, maybe he held on too long. In previous games, for the most part it was the o line. At least thats my take on it. There is enough blame to go around. Recievers not getting open, included.

Disagree here the lack of a running game is killing us..if you have to pass it's easy for the defense. We got behind early and BAM ! 37 pass attempts for a guy with a bad shoulder..he still gets 313 yards.
Get a steady ball control running game and your sacks go down and your defense is fresh and playing better.

Average Yards Per Carry Today.

Grant-4.6
Jackson-5.5

So I think that's false.

Lack of a running game? Nah, I wouldn't say it lacked today. Definitely has overall so far for the season though. We sure as hell could've put together a better statline for rushing, but I think we were put into situations where it was basically mandatory to put it in the hands of Rodgers. We had alot of openings in the middle of the field, and Rodgers exploited it well.

Am I concerned about our running game? Yes of course, but I won't say much negative about it this week. The majority of the blame is on our defense and the offensive line not giving Aaron enough time on pass downs.

Brett played for a long time and was phenomal at picking up the blitz reads and where they were coming from.

Rodgers isn't at that level yet.

The sacks are mostly on the O-line. Just watch how quickly the pocket collapses on most passing plays. Rodgers sometimes holds the ball too long, but I don't think he's especially bad that way. It's just that Favre was so good at knowing where his receivers were and releasing the ball quickly. Favre is one of the best QB's ever in the regard. He is a tough act to follow, but overall I think Rodgers is playing about as well as Favre would be playing under these circumstances.

86 total yards ??? You guys are kidding right? 93.5 yards per game ranked 23 rd in the NFL with 3 rushing Touchdowns ..2 on QB sneaks by Rodgers so through 5 games one count them one real rushing touchdown..yeah are running game is on track....NOT !
If your a team preparing against us you game plan to stop Aaron Rodgers and our passing game...heck 93 YPG and 1 TD isn't scaring anyone.
