Without Tower Drive bridge, my commute to work went from 12 minutes to 26 minutes.








I used to race over that bridge when I bought a new car. It was a great stretch to top out the engine. The scariest time was when my '87 Ford Escort EXP front end lifted off the ground on the decline. My buddy and I nearly shit our pants. I slammed the clutch to the floor board and slid it into neutral and white knuckled it to the Webster exit.

Thinking back to those days ... I am one lucky sommbitch. Not because of the dip in the bridge, but if I blew a tire I'd probably would have went for a swim.

Stupid kids.

This was on the Rockford news a week ago. I passed it along to some of the ones that are heading to the game. I wish I would have posted it here as well. Sometimes I am not very bright. (Well most of the time.)

It's a Gold package game, meaning the Milwaukee fans. There's no reason to go past exit 167 when you're coming from Milw. I don't think the bridge will have much influence.

When attending UWGB for 4 years.. I would cross that bridge very often decades ago.. the rotten egg smell from up there with the t-tops off let you know you were home.

And those damn kids racing over the bridge... snot nosed punks.. lol.


But honestly, it shouldn't have a great impact on traffic for the most part.. 172 can carry a bit more of the load coming for the pennisula and to the east.. the rest from the North, West and South should see little impact game day.. very few hotel/motels on the north east corner of GB.
