I am so glad that they made this a point of emphasis going into this season. It looks like what they are doing is really paying off.
We only had 4 hamstrings with Burnett, Hayward, Bush and Kuhn sitting out the game, and added just a 5th with Matthews. Only 1 knee with Starks, and one more concussion with Finley. Add to that there are only 5 players on Injured Reserve and only 4 on the Physically Unable to Perform lists.
This is remarkable! Counting Lacy, that's only 17 players altogether that were forced to sit out. Amazing.
http://www.rotoworld.com/teams/injuries/nfl/all/ It will be nice if we can avoid any further concussions, and get some of those hamstrings healed and those players back on the field for a good long run. I'd love to have Starks back too - hoping his knee isn't too biffed up.
Speaking of injuries, is there anyone here thinking our 6'-2" 216 lb. Safety by the name of Sean Richardson will finally get onto the field this year? I am really hoping he returns and is able to contribute, and have some success with this team. It would be a great story. We could use a serious Safety addition back there. My thinking all along with him was the staff simply wanted to buy him as much time as possible before allowing him to play, without putting him on IR.
