Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a guest Monday on SiriusXM's Mad Dog Radio show with Adam Schein.
Rodgers was asked about the hit on running back Eddie Lacy by Washington safety Brandon Meriweather. On his second carry of the game, Lacy suffered a concussion and left the game.
"I didn't see it," Rodgers said. "It was one of those hits I saw the highlight after. He was the in the air and Meriweather put a good lick on him. No penalty was called. I thought it was a tough shot."
Rodgers was asked if he thought a penalty should have been called on the play.
"I think a lot of those hits, when a guy is in the air, where a guy ducks, it puts the defender in a tough position because their angle of impact can get changed in an instant based on a guy crouching or in the air and falling or what not. I'll leave that up to the league to determine what they want to do with that. I didn't see it from my vantage point on the field."
