I think they'll be fine. The most important guys already know the system and have good chemistry (Rodgers/Nelson,Jones,Cobb,Finley). Lacy looks like a quick study as well and he has great vision. To me Bakhtiari is the only wild card. Week 1 especially against SF is a whole other animal. If he holds up remotely well then it's game on.

I'm not that concerned, as our top talent has been pretty much removed from the fray. But, it is a bit unsettling to see they have not had regular reps together in preseason action against other teams. Makes you wonder a bit about their ability to turn it on...
Depth is tough to gauge based on schemes they've shown, or rather hidden in preseason play. I think we have some talent, but the group that is most glaring in terms of weakness has been OL. Is that scheme? Is that talent? 2s and 3s going against 1s? I believe there is some of that in play which has made all of this very hard to gauge from a fan's standpoint. Add to this we have a QB who has been in the system less than 4 weeks on O. Clearly, we've been running very basic plays with Vince Young in there, and he's done well enough to earn the #2.
I've been extremely impressed with our depth in all 3 position groups on D, and very impressed with many of our skill players on O. We saw many of our regular mistake makers making their regular mistakes. Lattimore comes to mind. Francois, for all the good plays he's made this preseason, he's made some mistakes. Moses has ahd a poor camp. Van Roten has been less than stellar. Ross had his gaffes, but showed pretty well last night. This is going to be an interesting cut down to 53.
