A year ago, Davon House entered the preseason opener at San Diego as the starting right cornerback, but a shoulder injury in that game wrecked his season and left the door open for Sam Shields to take the job. With starting left cornerback Tramon Williams (knee) out against the Cardinals, House was back into the starting lineup. House struggled, however, allowing a 38-yard touchdown and giving up completions of 18 and 36 yards in only 16 snaps.

House pretty bad last nite. I am not in love with him nor do I despise him. Even so 1 game does not make or break a player. If so there are plenty of guys who will be cut this week.

Remember last year when people wanted to cut Sam Shields because he was so bad in camp/preseason that he lost his starting job to Jarrett Bush.... glad we didn't go ahead and do that.

He didn't lose his starting job to Bush either. Bush was used to motivate Shields. Bush is the motivating tool!! OMG you got subplanted by Bush??? ohhhh snap!!!

House struggled. He'll have to bounce back from that. Otherwise, he falls down the depth chart.

House is like the 4th CB but from what I saw last night, Micah Hyde might supplant him. I didn't think Hyde played coverage that well, but what I liked was his tackling ability. He had proper technique and effectiveness. Sometimes I think our beat writers are a bunch of clowns. House is head and shoulders better than "nine lives" Bush, who's only on the team as a special teams ace.

I still like House, I'm not gonna dog him too much on one game. He looked pretty good pre-injury last year.
