Yeah, buckeye, I kind of figured. We do have a lot of bodies there.
I'm thinking we go with 9 or 10 LBs too. Probably these 10:
Perry, Hawk, Jones, Matthews
Barrington, Manning, Palmer, Malumba, Moses.
The odd man out if they keep 9 is a battle between Palmer, Manning and Malumba. That's what I am thinking anyway. Seems Francois and Lattimore fell into much the same category as Walden: we have to do better.
If they keep 10, it will probably mean one less TE to maintain a similar size/athleticism on STs. I'm hoping the competition is truly open for starting positions, as I would prefer we have a better player starting at Jones' spot. I think it is crucial that we have better performance there. I think Perry, Hawk and Matthews have firm holds on their starting spots.
Hawk's conditioning coming in this year is pretty impressive. He looks good, and I hope he has a year much like 2010.
Again, this unit's success will be pretty dependent on sound DL play, which would be an improvement over last year.
