Well said. It will be hard for the new CBs to crack the line-up. I wonder what Hayward's availability will be down the stretch.

So we got Means, Nixon, and Smith. My money is on Smith being that guy to crack the line-up. Bush stays another year.

This is what TC is all about.

Young guys trying to make a name, get noticed.

They are all going to get plenty of chances the next few weeks.

The Packers know what Tramon and Hayward can do. Missing a couple of preseason games is not going to set them back at all.

The numbers don't ad up, Packers are not going to be able to keep them all, but remember there is always that practice squad to be filled out.

Someone finally brought up that guy who seems every year has no reason to make the final 53, except the fact that he did exactly what these young guys have a chance to do, excell on Special Teams.

Could this be the year Mr. Bush is released? I really don't think so, his coverage skills are well documented, but he still gives The Packers that veteran leadership on Special Teams.

Looks like Ted is trying to find Bush's replacement. Lot's of speed at the CB position.

Next year.

The competition in my mind is against Jarrett Bush vs James Nixon vs Brandon Smith for that final CB slot.

Jarrett Bush is a great Tackler, dime corner at best, and a good gunner.

James Nixon is a Sam Shields mold, he's fast with probably better ball skills than when Shields came out, potential to be a Nickel corner down the line.

Brandon Smith is a tall, strong looking converted WR to CB. Richard Sherman size, very raw, but can cover and jump for balls.

I think we can keep 7 actually. There's not much depth along the S position so I could see them only keeping 3 S's. So keeping Jarrett Bush and an Extra CB to the 5 locks at CB is possible.

we already have 4 corners nailed down - Williams, shields, Hayward, house - so that leaves what 2 at most at probably only 1 unless they somehow store bush somewhere.
I like the idea of another speedy guy - but the WRs and TEs seem to be getting bigger each year ... and I wouldn't mind a taller corner.

I too think they only keep one of the new guys. We shall see how the games shake out if that changes anything. Injuries should determine that more than anything.
