That's an overly simplistic comparison. There's a difference between a 20 or 40 yard pass beng thrown down the field and a 5-10 yard pass the receiver is breaking for a 20 or 40 yard gain. I have no idea how those numbers break out, but comparing the end results doesn't address the underlying question of who is throwing down the field more often. I'm not sure those numbers are going to be available without scouring through box scores.

The Packers run a west coast offense and the Jets run a more down field passing game so I would assume the Jets will have more attempts down field and since Brett is their QB they will have more completions than the Packers.

I think it's a matter of being one click off from being in the right spot. They are lunging because they are a few feet off from where they need to be to get in a good athletic position and deliver a shot.

In many cases the DL are not getting it done holding up the line of scrimmage and are being pushed back allowing for a down hill affect which also results in some of the arm tackling by the LB's.

All I know is I saw a lot of hits two/three yards down field and guys being drug another two or three. What was aggravating the hell out of me is it looked like we had the run bottled up for no gain or little gain and they would end up with four or five.
