Letting Corey Williams go was a mistake? What has he done since leaving?

To keep him we would have had to break the bank, he wasn't worth that type of money. We had several good DT behind him. Remember Jolly and they were high on some other kid too.

LOl @ the debate over if Ted Thompson is good or not

Look he isnt perfect no one ever is. Ron Wolf even made hUGE mistakes..

but because of the TIMES we live in, with internet, blogs, insiders and etc, everyone has their input and disagreement will happen over that..

I can almost bet that if internet was alive in 92 Ron Wolfs head would have been asked to be put on a silver platter...and if anyone says differtent they are lying to themselves.

This team does have the talent as it was seen last year in the 13-3 run..Will they match that, doubt it and that doesnt mean it is all AR fault..But some of you people say it is ALL AR fault and that is just F%&&*&*^& ASININE

When this team went 4-12 lot of fans couldnt or didnt want to blame Brett.... Even tho he tossed 29 ints............it was all other excuse, no RB, no lineman, etc and etc..

3 years later and some of the same issues that happened as in 05.... NOW people want to BLAME AR for it all

Those that feel it is all AR fault see the asinine argument that is?

Not to be mean, but every thread I've been opening lately is full of idiotic opinionated posts with people honestly thinking that their opinions are the truth. I understand some of you are upset about Brett being let go, but if you can't see that this was obviously the better choice then please do the people who have gotten over it a favor, and keep your mouth shut about a topic that you obviously don't know anything about.

I know I'm not a big name here or anything, but I love to talk Packers and break down games with anyone who's willing to. I value everyone's opinions, but only when they broadcast their opinions for what they are worth, and that is opinions.

Well said..only thing I would add is this

There are those that cant get over Brett being gone and that is okay, nothing wrong with it I guess..

However, those people need to realize that not everything that is going wrong with the team is AR fault, or would be fixed if Brett was here

That is what i have an issue with

some of these people go so far as to say, if Brett was here the water boys would get the water faster during a time out

Tough call. I personally would have paid him, based on previous two years results. He excelled in our system. 7 1/2 sacks up the middle two years in a row, plus being somewhat dependable vs the run.

Now I'm seeing opponents rushing at will against us. But then again, this is partly because the O doesn't stay on the field very long and wears out our D because they're on the field all day long.

Oh, hells yes. I vividly remember the hue and cry and wailing and gnashing of teeth in Packerland when Wolf had the gall to replace THE MAJIK MAN with (as one fan described him to me at the time) "that stupid hillbilly that wasn't even good enough to stick with the Falcons". Oh, how we were up in arms about that one.

And oddly enough, it worked out okay.

I was here during the Favre early years. There was a plethora of bitching and demanding for a replacement during his first two years and parts of his third if I remember right.

Mark Burnell came inches of being the starter..

In fact how many recall fans CHEERING when Brett would toss a ball out of bounds on purpose?

I worked with a guy that said Brett was just a 3rd stringer and would never be anything more..

After the SB win the next day at work my 1st words to him

Hows that 3rd stringer now

Anyways

People tend to forget how he was...and how close he was to being benched

My God. After reading those last few posts, I have to give more respect to Mike Holmgren. Him sticking with BF , imagine if he didn't and decided that Mark Brunell needed a chance to prove himself.
