Recently, Donald Driver came out and said that he would be willing to come out of retirement to help the Green Bay Packers out if they needed him. Driver would be a great veteran leader once again for a Packers team that will be a Super Bowl contender. Driver can also still be a [...]

The Packers don't need DD as a player but I would sure like to see him working for the Packers organization in some capacity.

Edgar Bennett started out as director of player development after his playing days were over.

Bring back the old player/coach position.

DD could keep in shape be on the 90 man roster.

Say The Packers incurred injuries during TC and they needed a 4th or 5th wr.

DD could then be a part of the 53 man roster, if not he would be released but still be with the team as an assistant wr coach.

Most seem to want him around in some capacity, this would make everyone happy.

DD's knowledge and leadership are what The Packers will miss the most this year, not his ability on the field.

This actually came up a few years ago. Remember when they cut John Ryan, the punter? He took off running in the last preseason game, and got the first down, but in the process our longsnapper went down for the year on that play.

THIS was the real reason he was shitcanned, imo.

Anyway, they couldn't bring Rob Davis back, because they had already employed him in the front office as a player development guy.
