Ok gotcha. You see a deteriorating 22 year old player on the downside of his career.
A year an a half from now when he is 24 I guess he will trick some team into overpaying him for one last payday. He will be really old and slow then.
You say Ted Thompson sees this too? But nobody else does. Very interesting.
Tell me, why did they waste such a high draft pick on him?

However, then - or whenever his contract is up, I see him attracting a lot of attention. Ted Thompson has a habit of low-balling just about everybody not named Rodgers or Matthews - we all know that. Often, he gets bargains that way; Sometimes he gives in out of necessity or whatever. I don't think there will be necessity with Cobb, any more than there was with Jennings - finding quality WRs just ain't that difficult. And yes, from year one to year two, I really think Cobb seemed a step slower. I'm not saying that like it's a sure thing, but it seemed that way to me. Then there's the injury thing - Cobb ain't James Starks, but he seems just a little bit fragile - you don't think so?
