Cutting edge journalism at it's finest:

It would have been a tall order to improve an Evening with Aaron Rodgers given the natural storytelling ability of the quarterback and the cause he supports that has become so strong and personal for so many people in the state of Wisconsin.

But the MACC Fund did it in this, the fourth year, when it invited 79-year-old Bart Starr to take a seat next to Rodgers at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Milwaukee on Tuesday night.



This is where it REALLY gets edgy:

When Starr spelled t-e-a-m, "together everyone achieves more," he was talking about football but also the purpose of the MACC Fund as well.

When I see stories like this, I think of the comment Aaron made to mother, something like "I don't want to be the best player in the NFL, I want to be the best man". Emulating Bart Starr is a good place to go. I could easily see Aaron being much like Bart as he grows older, a great statesman and loyal to the Packers and selfless. One of the things Lombardi preached.

I don't understand why the word "SHOCK" is in the thread title. Is this a surprise to anybody on any level?
