There's more class in my ass then in the Raider organization

I am in Toronto, actually Mississauga at this moment. Flew in last night. I rented a apartment over looking Square One from the 23rd floor. I am going to be here for two months.

The Bills are playing here on Dec 7th. The cheapest ticket in the nose bleeds is going for over $100. I think I will watch it on T.V. I love Canadians... Class acts, all around.

However... Your comment about your ass having more class than the Raiders hurts. (And I thank God I have never seen your ass.)

If there is one thing that Al Davis has always been it loyal to it is his former players. He does more for former "LOYAL RAIDER PLAYERS" than any team, and more for them then the NFL Union does for players who played the game.

I know Al is old, I know he is living in the past.... But so is my Grand Mother. So was Paul Newman who was loyal to his family, wife and convictions even though times have changed and Hollywood is a pool of pigs.

We can all make fun of Al and his walker when he was at the Hall Of Fame. We can make fun of his 1979 Track Suit. Even I have been pissed at him. However.... Kiffin was a jack ass.

It is easy to rob an old lady coming out of a bank, it is easy to beat up a old man. But... Like my Grandma, she still has her convictions. And she was on top of her game on the farm back then.

Take the time to read this... From P.F.T. before you compare your ass to The Raidahs.

DAVIS ACCUSES KIFFIN OF PROPAGANDA, LYING
Posted by Mike Florio on September 30, 2008, 5:34 p.m.
At the outset of a stunningly candid press conference regarding the teams decision to fire coach Lane Kiffin, Raiders owner Al Davis explained that Kiffin was fired for propanganda and lying that had gone on for months. Kiffin was bringing disgrace to the organization, Davis said, calling Kiffin on multiple times a flat-out liar.

One thing is clear to us: The 79-year-old Davis still seems to be as sharp mentally as he ever has been, and we tend to believe every word hes saying.

He claims that Kiffin at some point got the idea in his head that he could get out of his contract and still get paid, and that Kiffin tried to accomplish it by complaining regularly about his situation.

Davis went on to read from a three-page letter given to Kiffin on the Friday before the Week Two game against the Chiefs, which letter was prompted by Kiffins comments that he has no involvement in the defense, and that coordinator Rob Ryan works directly with Davis on this point.

Also, Davis said that Kiffin called every play on offense during his time with the team, and that he split the play-calling duties with an unnamed assistant coach on Sunday against the Chargers.

After the Week Three loss to the Bills, Davis said that he asked Kiffin point-blank why he didnt use his final two time outs. He takes exception when you question him, Davis said.

Davis then made a snide remark regarding the 76-yard-field goal attempt at the end of the first half of the Week Four loss to the Chargers, which prompted us to question whether Kiffin was trying to get himself fired.

Asked whether Kiffin was daring Davis to fire him, Davis said, Thats a good question.

The rift apparently arose seven months ago. Davis said that Kiffin wanted to his father, Monte Kiffin, to run the defense and that Monte Kiffin wanted to do it. Davis claims that the Raiders opted not to pursue the elder Kiffin because he was under contract with the Bucs.

Davis claims that Lane Kiffin wanted to fire defensive coordinator Rob Ryan after the 2007 season. I cant win with this guy, Kiffin supposedly told Davis.

Davis said that Kiffin didnt want to draft quarterback JaMarcus Russell, because Kiffin thought hed be the overweight guy and the uninterested guy.

Said Kiffin after the 2007 season (per Davis), We cant win with this.

Davis also confirmed that Kiffin wanted the Arkansas job, which Kiffin previously denied. Lane was upset as hell about it when Bobby Petrino left Atlanta to get the job. Kiffin then supposedly targeted another college job.

As to reports that Kiffin was presented with a letter of resignation, Davis said that the document was an attempt to resolve Kiffins situation if he were to get another job, at the college level. Davis said that Kiffin, whom he called a professional liar, then turned that into a claim that Davis had presented him with a resignation letter.

Davis ended his remarks, before fielding questions, by stating unequivocally that the team will rebound from this, and that the Raiders will win.

Frankly, we were riveted by the press conference. Davis rarely speaks publicly, but when he does he brings the heat. And we get the sense that he treats his people well, if they are willing to treats others well, too. Particularly compelling to us were comments from Davis regarding his desire that long-term players not simply be discarded, and that Kiffin take care of ex-Raiders.

Davis has a clear passion for his team, and we have a newfound affection for Davis, and for the Raiders. Though there are problems with the franchise that need to be addressed, Davis deserves our deference and respect, and were more than happy to give it to him.

Although I won't ever be fully sold on Al I am willing to fess up and apoligize RP. It was basically meant as a joke and I forgot about you (I know how could I) I will admit I do back any team with the Raiders tradition but I still will never fell to bad about criticizing owners like Davis or Jerry Jones as they just enjoy it anyway

I have to agree with RP on this one. Lately things haven't gone exactly Al's way as far as the Raiders are concerned but you have to give him credit for never giving up hope. I have heard and read stories about Al taking care of long forgotten Raiders of the past and that to me is class. Most of these guys from years ago were just throw away players when they were used up. From what I understand it wasn't that way with Al. Maybe that's why so many players went there and are still going there in there football twilight years. The hopes of being respected for years of service and a job well done by an owner would be a big draw for any player on his way out I would think.

As for Kiffin...... I never liked him. Something about him just doesn't sit right with me. He reminds me of a former Falcons coach.

Yes he has helped former players and that is really nice. But that doesn't change the fact that he is solely responsible for running the Raiders into the ground. They are the laughing stock of the league and he has no one to blame but himself. Thats just a fact, and cannot be disputed.

RP is correct..He gives so much extra back to retired players it isnt even funny..I heard he gives them an EXTRA pension..

He may look like an old a@@ in front of the camera but it seems that if you do good BY him and try to at least do your job, he will respect you and treat you well

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : It should be halted now.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : usually spambots are trying to get traffic to shady websites filled with spyware; the two links being spammed were to the Packers website

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : even with the rapid fire posts?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : I'm not certain it's a bot.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : I've got to go to work soon which is a pity because I'm enthralled by this battle between the bot and Zero

Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : that's why it confused the hell out of me
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, but this is taking a headline and slapping it into the Packers Talk
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Wasnt there a time guests could post in the help forum?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : lol good question, kind of impressed!
