There goes one possibility.

■ The Packers had one spot open up for a potential tryout signee Friday after Illinois State safety Ben Erickson did not pass his physical.

A Greendale, Wis., native, Erickson was the only safety the Packers signed as an undrafted free agent shortly after the draft. It appeared he’d compete for a roster spot behind Morgan Burnett, Jerron McMillian and M.D. Jennings.
