Aaron Rodgers was in a stand-up comedy mood Thursday night for the second annual Wisconsin Sports Awards.
Called to the stage of the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee to accept the Inspirational Player of the Year award for teammate James Jones, Rodgers was asked about the future of the team at receiver now that Greg Jennings has left for the Minnesota Vikings.
“Who?” replied Rodgers.
The crowd reacted with ‘oooh’ when Rodgers replied, “must be some Vikings fans in here."
Rodgers also accepted an award on behalf of Packers coach Mike McCarthy.
“Mike said he couldn’t make it because he had a very important league bowling match,” said Rodgers. But he wanted to thank Jordy Nelson “for picking up that challenge flag…”
