We would win even if we had Ahmad Carroll as RB. I think even he would pull off over 100 against the Lions D.

I think some of you are way too confident that we are going to beat the Lions on Sunday. That being said, I think sense this is the NFL and any team can beat any other team on any day, I say if he can go, play him against the Lions. We need to take this 1 game at a time. We worry about beating the Lions right now. Not the cowboys. Now on the other hand if he can hurt it worse, then dont play him. For the sake of the rest of the season. But if he can play through it, i say go for it.

I'm certainly not being over confident. However, the coaching staff have nothing but praise for Brandon Jackson. If they say so, I really have little choice but to believe them, even though I haven't saw too much in actual game time. Also, he ran very well at the end of last year against the Lions.

Taking all this into account and the fact that we should be prepared if Grant were to go down, it shouldn't be a huge blow to rest Grant for a week and this team should be confident that we can win without him.

Of course there's a chance that he could re-injure himself and be out for another extended period of time. In my mind, it's not worth playing him for one game and losing him for several . . if that is indeed the case.

I believe what the coaches say about Jackson too... But from what we have seen he still looks like a magnet attracted to the wall of defenders when he touches the ball.

I say give him a series or two and let Jackson and Lumpkin take care of the rest.

The same article that reported that said that when Grant was running for the 57 yards people were on the sideline yelling at him, "Don't open it up! Don't open it up!"
7.7 yard average against the #1 Rushing D from last year on a bad hammy. Yeah, Grant could have a good year.
Monitor him like you do every other player this week. If he's good to go, it would be good to continue his play and get him into football shape. If he could reinjure it, sit him like you would anyone else.

I wouldn't mind seeing a three way split for carries against Detroit though.

It's detroit, let the backup FB get most of the carries. Who cares.
