Good article, gopackgo. I'm surprised that you've always felt the Pack-Bears rivalry was more intense than the Pack-Viking.. although I do suppose living in Illinois helps.

Personally, I've felt with the new ownership the Vikings have, while I love them, the intensity of the rivalry has decreased immensely. That was before the offseason of '08, though. I agree, with these two young teams, and the influx of newer starters.. This rivalry just got more intense. Hopefully more so than the past 4 years or so.

I didn't like that last sentence.. but, since you have mental lapses as a Pack fan, I'll let it slide... 😛 For, it'll be the Norsemen of the purple tribe that'll be sackin' Green Bay Monday night. =D

There is no team in the league that I despise as much as the Vikings. I don't know what it is, but there seems to be so many bad charaters on the Vikings teams through the 90's and 2000's, too many players with big mouths, Randy Moss, Culpepper, Sharper. They're just not good image guys.

I LOVE the Vikings... Bud Grant is a great coach! Their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Superbowl 4 not withstanding, they were THE team of the 70's in the NFC.

I was a Packers fan before the Vikings even existed so the Bears are the real rivalry to me.
The Vikes just aren't the same without Bud Grant, Fran Tarkenton and Bill Brown.
To me the Lions, although they are nothing more than pathetic, are more disdainful to me than the Vikes.

I hate the Cows much, much more.

I don't even hate the Vikings. I feel sorry for them. I'm old enough to remember them losing SB after SB. They'd be so excited that they're there that they forget to play.
