Words of wisdom from freshman Dekker

For now, here is a snippet from Dekker  talking about his role so far at UW. I know some UW fans can't fathom why Dekker isn't starting and it sounds as if Dekker has been asked about that topic. He has made it clear several times so far this season his concern isn't whether he starts or comes off the bench, but rather what he does to help UW win.

“I just don’t want to get into the whole drama aspect of people thinking I’m not happy," he said. “There is nothing I should ever complain about. I have the opportunity to go to school, to play something that to most people is a hobby.

“I can’t take that for granted. It is a blessing to be out here. It is a blessing to put on this jersey and come to this school.

“This is something that 1% of people get to do. So if I would ever be down about something on the basketball court or unhappy with something, I’d really need a reality check.”
