just thought of another thing....if you were to go 1/3 in as originally requested, you'd end up pissing off the ones who want to flip because of your desire to not be among those screwing Renee over, right? So they're going end up being pissed off anyway. And, arguably, they'd be even more pissed off if you went in with them and then caused problems (they can't flip if you don't sign off...that there's called 'horribly encumbered' property and no buyer would buy it.

Essentially you're going to get them pissed off regardless. So have another beer and do whatever you think is right.

I think I could get away with being a part of a neighborhood "shell" company, potentially (and upon my insistence) based in one of the former Eastern-bloc countries, so there ARE ways to avoid actual notice that I was involved 🤣

If I go in with them, they would probably want me to be "point man" with her. Whoever buys it would want to know about taxes, inferior liens, structural issues, etc.

Wife unit would put the KIBASH on instantly, if she even imagined a potential profit motive on my part. Remember, this girl had this former scout/sniper blow-drying a chipmunk on his entrance sidewalk for about 20 minutes less than a month ago.

Upon reflection, perhaps my whole "get a girl" wisdom in some other thread I threw up was some very shitty advice, so nevermind about all that 🤣
