Martin has great chemistry with Rodgers, off the field... they seem to be best friends... but on the field I don't know that's true. Also there is one thing that ALWAYS bugged me with Ruvell... he was a big WR with average speed, trying to play like a small speed WR...

In the red zone, Rodgers would throw Ruvell jump balls... and being 6'4" he should of been able to make that play.... but VERY VERY VERY rarely did he ever make them... WHY? Because he wasn't ready to jump... he wasn't thinking about using that height... he was looking for the back corner pass (which normally doesn't work unless you out quick or speed the CB (and have good to great placement of the ball).

Now people often say... Ruvell might of just been doing what the play call for... and that a good excuse.... other than one thing... it happened WAY WAY too often... I saw Ruvell vs. a short DB ... I could call it out... jump ball to Ruvell ... Ruvell wouldn't even be ready to jump as the ball past over his head.

Basically, Ruvell was a big WR... and everyone seem to know it other than Ruvell... who was trying to play like he was Jennings or Driver (and for the record Nelson did some (not all) of that as well early on trying to make cuts and moves like Jennings/Driver (big guys can't do all of those moves and shake a guy), but Nelson knew when to use his height in the passing game... Ruvell didn't...

(P.S. physically talent potential wise, Fitzgerald is not that overly talented, it's just that he maximizes the potential he does have like no other... I love it.... well other than the ones against the Packers. He scored twice on Woodson in that super high scoring playoff game... both times he used an illegal tripping move but tries to disguise it as accidental (which if accidental it would be legal and there for the reason the refs didn't call it). The first time he disguised it PERFECTLY, I thought it was just an accident as well... but he went back to it later and the second time you could tell it was the same move and no accident that time (so I assume the first time was no accident ether)

That's one reason I love watching Fitzgerald. He'll fight for the ball and end up with it, even though he's not necessarily faster or stronger. He just wants it more.
