Wayne Larivee (sp) annoys the hell out of me. I listened to a few minutes in the car ride home and and he'd get excited about an incompletion.... "deep pass to Jordy Nelson" and then get really excited ... INCOMPLETE!!! I get he's supposed to be impartial, but get excited for EXCITING plays... an incomplete pass is NOT exciting.

It's also awkward to see him on TV. The cameramen will always try to frame his messed up hand just out of the picture but then he sways back into it and AHHHHHHH

This. I can't believe the Packers can't get someone better. I can't believe he has risen to the level he has. I absolutely will not listen to him. His timing and voice inflection are very misleading as to what is happening in the game. I actually get upset if I listen to him, therefore I don't.

if it was the last play for the pack, then you could understand being excited because the game was on the line and nelson has made some amazing catches !!

I had to listen to him while driving thru AL and TN. (Went to a wedding.) I was thrilled the rental car we had was equipped with Sirius. Even that was better than nothing.

That said McCarren was correcting him all the time. When he was trying to point out the inconsistency in calls by the refs (another thread) Larrivee said the refs were not penalizing the 49ers when they ruffed up the Packer WRs but were calling it on the Packers when they did the same thing. McCarren, sounding somewhat frustrated, said that the refs were not the reason the Packers were losing. To which Larrivee quickly agreed and then stammered a few words trying to explain what he meant knowing that he was in the process of eating a big helping crow.

The problem I have with McCarren is that he speaks too softly to be an announcer. I can not hear him very well most of the time. Larrivee while somewhat annoying I can at least hear what he is saying and I can decide for myself if he is full of crap or if it really was an exciting play.
