First game of the season and my first look at the 2012 Packers.

I am interested to see how Graham Harrell play as well as Alex Green. Green could be an awesome weapon for #12 with his size and soft-hands.

Harell needs to show he can move the ball against a #1 defense, so I am hoping to see him play with some starters tonight.

Packers drafted Perry and Worthy to help Raji and Matthews put some pressure on the qb. I think these four guys will be critical to the Packers winning the Superbowl. I know our secondary was weak last year, but my thought is if the qb is constantly being pressured it will take some pressure off our secondary.

Who will replace Collins as a ball hawking free-safety? Many young players in the Packer SECONDARY, hoping to see someone make some plays tonight.

As always, left tackle, will the best qb in the nfl be running for his life all season? newhouse is out and a backup will start. Let's see what happens.
So if you meet me Have some courtesy, Have some sympathy, and some taste

Wouldn't mind seeing rodgers start no more than 2 series. Looking forward to watching burnett, perry and the house/shields/hayward competition.

Harrell needs to show 1: he's got enough arm to get the ball downfield and to throw the deep outs, SUCCESS.
and 2: that he is WILLING to not just dump the ball off, but go downfield with it when that is available. SUCCESS.
STILL HAS TO SHOW HE CAN BE ACCURATE CONSISTENTLY. THEN AGAIN HE WAS THROWING TO SCRUBS WITH WHOM HE DOESN'T REALLY HAVE A RHYTHMN.
HE ALSO STILL HAS TO SHOW HE CAN ELUDE THE RUSH CONSISTENTLY. THEN AGAIN HIS BLIND SIDE WAS BEING "PROTECTED BY HERB TAYLOR."

Green: Needs to show 1: his knee is fine, SUCCESS
and 2: that he is the man. FAIL. SEEMED LIKE HE WAS GETTING STUFFED ALOT. THEN AGAIN, THEY KEPT RUNNING HIM BEHIND...HERB TAYLOR!

Saine: Needs to show he can continue to pass block consistently, and secondarily that he can take a dumpoff to the house at any time. FAIL. I DON'T THINK HE PLAYED. HEARD HE PULLED A HAMMY.

Starks: Needs to show 1: that he can pass pro. SUCCESS. ABOUT THE ONLY THING AT WHICH HE DID NOT FAIL.
2: that he can run hit the hole decisively. FAIL. ALSO FAILED TO PROTECT THE BALL. ALSO FAILED TO CATCH THE BALL.

Worthy: Needs to show that he can start as a 3-4 end. LOOKED GOOD, IMO. SUCCESS.

Perry: Needs to show that he can 1: cover and SUCCESS.
2: get after the QB. SUCESS.

MD Jennings: Needs to continue to always be in position. FAIL
lso needs to show he's big enough physically to play at the NFL level. SUCCESS. NOT REALLY DEFINITIVE, BUT NO ONE RAN HIM OVER OR BLEW HIM UP.

McMillian: Needs to show he's assignment sure in the dime. FAIL.
And that he can continue to hit people hard. FAIL. I STILL LIKE HIM THOUGH. FIRST PRESEASON GAME, HE GETS ANOTHER SHOT.

DJ Williams: Needs to show he can get it done consistently. That he won't disappear down the stretch, and that he's assignment sure. SUCCESS. HE HAD A GOOD FIRST DOWN RECEPTION. DIDN'T PUT ON A CLINIC OR ANYTHING.

Cobb: His role will expand to whatever degree that he can show he can continue to be explosive in multiple roles. SUCCESS. WHEN HE CATCHES THE BALL WITH AN ANGLE ON THE DEFENDERS, HE IS LIKE LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE.

Dez Moses: Needs to show he can get it done on the NFL level. SUCCESS.

Newhouse: Needs to show up. FAIL.

Datko: Needs to show he belongs in the NFL. At this point his shoulder issues are secondary. PUSH. FAILED AGAINST PEOPLE WHO WILL MAKE THE TEAM. LOOKED DECENT AGAINST THE SCRUBS. I VIEW DATKO AS A PROJECT. HE'S NOT READY YET. PS HIM.

Shields: Needs to show he can 1: cover FAIL
and 2: tackle. FAIL. I DON'T THINK HE PLAYED.

Hayward: Needs to show he can play the slot. SUCCESS. HE GOT BEAT A TIME OR TWO, BUT OVERALL HE HUNG TOUGH.

House: Needs to show he can press and play the outside. SUCCESS. HOPE HE'S OK.

Am I forgetting anyone?

I FORGOT COLEMAN. HE LOOKED GOOD IN THAT 2 MINUTE DRILL. SUCCESS. HE'S GOT A LITTLE FAVRE IN HIM. (not unlike many massage therapists around the NFL. hahahahahah)

I am interested in backup QBs success behind some shoddy backup linemen :)

I am super stoked to watch inside linebackers and the corners get work tonight.

Overall, I'd like to see general hope on the defensive side of the ball. SUCCESS. STILL GAVE UP TOO MANY BIG PLAYS, BUT THERE IS REASON TO BELIEVE.

I wanna see pass rush. That's the main thing. Pressure. SUCCESS.

Tackling would be good too. SUCCESS. I THOUGHT THEY PLAYED THE RUN DECENTLY WELL. TACKLING COULD BE BETTER, BUT IT'S PRESEASON WEEK 1.

Hawk needs to prove that he's more useful that DJ Smith. HAWK PLAYED ALL RIGHT. TURNS OUT SMITH WENT IN FOR BISHOP.

He is what he is.. an above average NFL linebacker.

I wouldn't expect him to change his stripes now.. he might be the most consistent player on the field.

That said.. he looks like he has less bulk this season via the Family night appearance.

Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin
