I would argue that while his physical skills have diminished, as is natural for a player after 15 seasons, his gambling acumen has kept him near the top of the list when it comes to the best defensive backs. So what happens when you have young defensive backs like Morgan Burnett, Sam Shields and Jarrett Bush trying to emulate Woodson? In one word: disaster.



Interesting take. Still, get some pass rush and then gambling on the INTs will be a little bit different.

Jarrett Bush is young? I guess all things are relative, but Burnett and Shields are 23 and 24 respectively, Bush is 28.

Completely agreed here. With pass rush, gambling on INTs gets MUCH better results. Without the pass rush, gambling on INTs gets you the 19th ranked D.
