I am going to disagree.
Eli is an average QB that got lucky. His D carried him and he did just enough to win.
His career rating is barely above the NFL average. He has had 2 moderately above average years, 2 about average and 4 below average.
QBs get credit for the team winning when it should be for how they play.
The D stepping up and holding Brady out of the endzone after Eli's TDs have as much or more to do with the win than one throw.
The magical throws would have been meaningless if the Giants D line had not beaten Brady into submission.
What is more impressive, taking out Brady or beating the Patriots horrible secondary?
Eli is not in the top 5. He isn't even in the top 10. I would be stretching to put him in the top 15.
I would only take Eli if we get his D line with him. Other wise, no.
Take one team and chose between having Eli, Peyton or Brady run it. I would pick Peyton.
That is assuming you get all three QBs at their peaks.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.
