I can't seem to understand why we called a timeout before the halftime when we all knew they we're going to run and they came back at us with a run again and picked up enough to go for a hail mary!

I mean if they run and we stop them, time drops and they probably wouldn't even have enough time to make those 2 big plays. We gave them time to rest !!!

Or a wide-open Jermichael Finley.

I will say, on replay it looked like Jennings might have run the wrong route. He looked really confused as he adjusted back toward the wrong ball. Either that, or Rodgers threw the ball to the wrong location. In either case, there seems to have been a miscommunication.

Also on the Hail Mary, I would have got burned too and that's why I am sitting at home and they are coaching out there I guess. But I thought the Giants were going to do a quick throw to the outside to get out of bounds for a FG, I was completely surprised when they went Hail Mary. I think the media and fans are a bit harsh on the D and Mike McCarthy on that play. It was not a traditional Hail Mary situation. For example, where you are down by 6 with 3 seconds left or whatever. The Giants were about 5-10 yards from a FG. Would you really play a traditional Hail Mary defense if the other team only needed a FG with 6 seconds left?

The play before, with the run, I don't understand it at all. That was nuts, to allow someone to get 15 yards and get out of bounds when you know they are running. But the actual Hail Mary, I don't know, I was fooled for sure.

I'm not judging the play call, just wondering what the reason of his timeout is ... I mean I was expecting a short throw not a hail mary also but what was the t.o. for?

Rodgers was also throwing on the run. In any case you GOTTA be able to make those plays. Between that play and the Finley throw as well a few throws to wide open recievers that they had to almost lay out and scoop off the ground, rodgers had a very, very poor game...To the Level that I have not seen from him. Not this year, not last year not even in 2008.

Hail Marys sometimes work. The Packers had three players within a foot of the ball before the receiver's feet touched down. Sometimes shit happens.

The inexcusable bit, as several have pointed out, was the play before. No way should he have been able to run downfield, then across the field, then out of bounds. If the Packers had 50 percent of SF's defense tackling skills, the clock would have run out and the hail mary play (or a FG or spiking the ball or anything else NY might have done) would have never taken place. The clock would have run out.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

buckeyepackfan (17h) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
