ZS's prediction - we rest our starters for the entire second half. The Lions need this game. We don't. We want to be healthy for the Playoffs.

    They win 28-17.

How do the Lions need this game? What's the importance of having the 5th spot over the 6th spot?

Packers - Lions game is the early game. The Buccaneers at Falcons is the late game. Detroit is one game ahead but loses tiebreakers. They will have some motivation. Including getting the consecutive games lost in Wisconsin off their back.

The Packers may not be as mentally sharp. Flynn playing probably 1/3 of the game. The Packers 250 lb linebackers getting run over by 300 plus lbs of offensive linemen and not getting off the field.

Rodgers has to be sharp and score early and often. The game will lean on Ryan Grant a great deal as he will get screens and check downs.

It will be a close game.

    Wrong!

The correct answer is the Lions will play all out so they don't have to play the Packers in Lambeau Field as the 6th seed if they were to beat the Saints.

What's wrong with you guys? Packers fans are the smartest football fans and I set you all up and you whiff?

Anyhow, I think with the BYE week the Packers should play all out with their healthy players. Yes most if not all players are dinged, and with that said; players on the mend like James Starks, Chad Clifton, etc should sit.

The Lions have lost to the Packers, Falcons, Saints, and 49'ers. They are not going to be that big a threat. They did win against the Cowboys (big yawn).

Winning against the Lions essentially means the Lions will not be returning to Green Bay before next Fall.

It has been 20 years since the Lions won on Wisconsin soil. If they could not win against the Packers on their biggest Turkey Day of the year they may not have enough to win now.

I see us resting alot of players and why risk Suh taking a cheap shot at AR? I am hoping the Lions to win this game to be honest with you. If the Lions win they get the winner of the NFC East (Giants I predict)which I feel they could win and then they would have to travel back to Green Bay. If they lose they will most likely go to the Saints and get beat which in turn the Falcons could very well come to Green Bay. I don't want the Falcons her because they can have a running game and have some passing. The running game is what scares me the most because it could be bad weather(it is coming we can't be spoiled that long lol) and a running game could be the difference. I'm sure I will be bashed for these comments but that is how I feel. Two teams I actually fear in Green Bay is New Orleans and Atlanta. San Fran don't scare me at all because they can stop the run on defense but we don't run so we should beat them. Detroit is like us with all the passing but Stafford is like the old GB Qb and he will give us a few chances at ints. And between Dallas and the Giants, they both will give us turnovers and we can score on their defenses. The Saints are the one team that can match our offense and they have a slight edge on special teams with Sproles.

So after saying all that MM will come out and play the starters all the way just to beat the Lions. We will keep undoing Suh's shoelaces and he will get suspended for the playoffs lol
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Aaron Rodgers throws 5 td passes in the first half, becoming the 1st Packer qb to pull off such a feat.

Mike will let Aaron have 1 series in the 2nd half, giving him one chance to break the single season td record. Of course he will!!!

Packers then turn to backups and the run game to shorten the 2nd half, totally frustrating The Lions as they realize they are headiing to New Orleans for their 1st playoff game since 1999.

Packers 55 Lions 20 BOOK IT!!!!!!!

I want the Packers to win this game for a couple of reasons.

    - To keep our home winning streak against the Lions going. They haven't won in Lambeau since 1991.
    - A loss pretty much knocks them to the sixth seed and will run into the buzz saw that is the New Orleans Saints on the road. That will increase their chances of being knocked out and not seeing us again until the 2012 regular season. A tough divisional opponent who is familiar with the team could be a dangerous first opponent for the Packers. I'm rooting for the Cowboys to win the NFC East because they'd be an easier out than the Giants imo. Same with the Falcons in a 4/5 matchup assuming New Orleans wins their Wild Card game and then goes on the road to SF in the divisional round.

Obviously, Detroit has more to play for than the Packers, but it's not like Green Bay is going to be able to rest every body. A lot of starters will still have to play most of the game and I do think Flynn is capable of making some plays to beat Detroit in the second half.

It won't be a deal breaker if Detroit wins, but if we can avoid them in the divisional round, all the better imo.

Or, are you saying Flynn sucks and you want to see him damaging the Vikings/Bears from within next year? 😕
