If we are going to entertain conspiracy theories, we might note that there were some other pretty significant upsets this week. Maybe The Illuminati of Las Vegas declared this to be "upset week."

The calls were made, I didn't get a chance to record the game yesterday, so I'm not sure how much Jordy pushed off, but the refs made it clear they were going to call it tight so Packers had to adjust. Really don't know how much it affected the outcome of the game, many other factors to consider.

Nobody here in SF cares about Jordy's race. We do care however about his hair and don't like it.

First PI was ticky tacky. Second PI was a complete phantom call. Normally I can get pissed about penalties pretty good (was angry for a good 6 months after the Packers postseason loss vs Arizona, can't tell me that's not a facemask just because the ball was "out"), but the bottom line is that we had tons and tons of opportunities and failed. If these types of penalties continue next week I'll be annoyed, but it's not like they ruined the game for us in any definitive way.

Two quick calls on Jordy Nelson that didn't really even look close enough to be borderline. Give me a break! The refs shouldn't feel like it's there job to "make a statement" (the only possible reason I can think of for that to happen). If they have a concern maybe they should mention it to the coaches before hand instead of pulling bogus flags out of their ass.

I'm not blaming the refs for the loss at all so don't get on me about that but am I the only one who thought that series of events was a little unusual?

I still remember gb vs the cards in the playoffs 2 years ago with fitzgerald literally throwing woodson down on at least 2 plays and that being 'fine' no calls.

If they were going to call it that way OK. But then they missed the same call against KC a couple of times. Anyway, this game was not important, it's what we do now to win the SB.

Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

They were bullshit calls. Watch the first 3rd down reception on the Chiefs' first drive and tell me how Jordy gets called and their receiver doesn't. Refs are human, and they are entirely capable of having their heads in the wrong place during games. I think this is an example of that. It didn't lose us the game by any means, but... The flags should stay in their pockets unless it's a blatant penalty. Trying to "manage" games by making calls is horrible, horrible officiating.

I'm pretty much convinced the officiating will be horrible unless it's Mike Carey out there anyway.
