--- I SHOULD READ THE LINK IN ZERO2COOL'S SIGNATURE ---

I just found this article to be interesting. Finley is doing the wrong things, yet still catching touchdowns. If that is the least of the Packers problems, I am okay with that.

It seems like the article tries to put a negative spin on things when Rodgers is just doing his job. He is right in saying that Finley should tighten up on the mental mistakes. To be fair, not every single mistake is going to turn into a touchdown for Finley. What if he is supposed to chip block before a route, says screw it and that defensive end breaks loose and gives Rodgers a concussion? If he starts to let Finley get away with "a touchdown is a touchdown" this time, what happens the next time?

I also know a lot of people don't like the way Finley carries himself sometimes so I am interested to see what people think about this situation. In this case, a touchdown is a touchdown...they beat the Bears.

G-Force, good point on the "what if" situation. However, as far as the article goes, I like what I read. Finley is starting to show maturity that he seemed to lack in the last year. I also appreciate that even though Finley is a bright star on our offense, Rodgers is not afraid to criticize him for messing up on a successful play. Looks like things are going in the right direction. I just hope that we can win it again the year so that Finley gets a taste in his mouth of what it feels like to participate on a Super Bowl winning team. Sure he was on the team last year, but playing a part in the win will be a different feeling. If he does, I think that he will be more willing to stay in Green Bay regardless of the paycheck.

Also, when I read the title and subtitle, I said "uh-oh...." Glad it didn't turn out like that.

Hopefully this is a sign of maturity and not just coaching with a PR guy.

I think this was a healthy exchange. Rodgers picked a good time to (gently) criticize Finley, after he had caught three TDs and the team won the game. And Finley's response was perfect. Well-played all around.

Phew, this is a non-story. You guys had me worried. I thought "Here we go with Captain BigMouth again" but he admitted he botched it and tried to make the most of it(and did). Rodgers pointed it out(which I kinda don't understand. Keep that in house perhaps?) and Finley agreed.

Rodgers being a perfectionist is funny to watch on and off the field.

Rodgers really defies what we expect in our "Big Man on Campus". I keep wondering when he's going to turn into a dick, like so many other QBs. He has shatterred the legacy of Favre, because he is everything that Favre's ego would not allow Favre to become.

As for Finley; I'm just going to hold my breath and see if he actually signs his extension offer someday.
