why are we a wildcard team when we are one of the three teams in the NFC that are yet undefeated?

Because the division leaders are locked into the top four spots based on NFL rules. The Lions and Packers are both undefeated and in the same division so they have to go to the NFL tie breaking rules. Based on CaliforniaCheez's break down of the NFL tie breaking rules as of right now the Lions would win that tie breaker meaning the Lions currently lead the division and the Packers can't be in the top four spots.
