You guys assured me that not wanting to re-sign Jones was stupid, that he'd get his targets, regardless of having too many guys who are on a nr 1, 2, 3 receiver skill level and that there won't be a locker room problem, so I asume this'll all be over by week 2.

Any of those five can excel in this league.. even the old man at this point, I will contend completely that the Packers really don't have a #2,#3,#4 or #5 receivers.. they have a clear cut #1 and a quartet that all could easily be that #2 and will be at different points of the season... want evidence look back a season.

Truthfully.. all of them sans Jennings play second fiddle to Finley.. but that is a different thread.

Cobb seems to provide a lot of value in the slot. Driver also excels in this role and is asked to find soft spots in zone, and also runs the slant as well as anyone in the biz. Jones can be used anywhere, but does most of his dirty work in the red zone or lined up as an outside receiver. He's more of a deep threat guy, and he plays much bigger than his body. The "who is better" or "who is the #2, #3, etc." thing is a waste of time, IMO.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Before saying one does not have a clue, perhaps you can learn to spell?

Anyways, I am smart and do have a clue so I do know who this "Jorde" is that you keep referring to. I really don't believe the Packers have much depth chart numbers other than Greg Jennings is number one. I think 2 - 5 are fluid and predicated on the match ups available.
• Greg Jennings
  • Jordy Nelson
  • Donald Driver
  • James Jones
  • Randall Cobb (I'd use him on KR and PR and that's why he's lower)
But you need no lessons what so ever from a gent like I.. the truth of the matter is that I have gotten far more pissed off here than in real life.. in percentages and raw number of occurrences.. And I can't really explain to myself why. lol.

Anyway.. Rodgers spoke exactly as I would.. and honestly that speaks volumes of the respect that Jones has within that locker room. Just as much as any of the other 53.

Cobb made a great play on his touchdown but it was pointed out he ran the wrong route. I love the work that Jones can do along the sidelines. I still take Jones over Cobb in the depth right now. And I agree Zero2Cool,on any day I think it can flip between Jordy and James as the #3.

I wouldn't be surprised to see James Jones have a half dozen targets this week.

James Jones is a monster in my opinion. I have seen him make too many plays to not see him out there. At the same time we have so many weapons. Hell, maybe next week Jones will get 10 receptions, and Cobb will get one. I hope that happens so JJ is happy for at least a little while.

Hopefully he can catch 5 of them, but I have my doubts. He also has Ahman Greenitis in that the dumbass can't switch the ball to the proper arm depending on which sideline he's at. I distinctly remember losing 2 Bear games because of it.
